The Select Baits BaBy10 is a 3m (10’) rod designed for boat fishing or tight spots where larger rods would simply be impractical.

While at first glance you may get the impression that this shorter rod can’t deal with 10kg fish, just pick up our BaBy10 and we guarantee it will instantly impress you. Because it has been designed for fishing from a boat where rods are held at quite steep angles or even fully vertically, our BaBy10 holds a tremendous power reserve within the handle. Whether you are fishing on large, fast-flowing rivers of Europe or on huge reservoirs from your boat, you can be fully confident that the Select Baits BaBy10 is up to the challenge!

The rod’s test curve is 3.25lbs, but bear in mind this is a shorter rod. What this means is that on a 3m (10’) rod, this particular test curve will feel completely differently than on the more common 3.6m (12’) or 3.9m (13’) rods.

The rod is built from 24T and 3K carbon fibers from the Japanese colossus Mitsubishi. Both fibers have their own unique properties and weaving them together has allowed us to reach a perfect balance between resiliency, weight and power.

The rod comes equipped with an 18mm reel-seat to offer a firm grip for virtually all conventional carp reels. The reel-seat is framed by metallic collars and Duplon Rubber.

The Select Baits BaBy10 is equipped with SiC rings, with a steel frame, because they are very resilient and can withstand the wear and tear of braided mainlines. The top ring is an anti-tangle one just to give you that extra security during casting.

Above and beyond the technical details, our BaBy10 is a very stylish rod! The slim blank, discrete logos, abbreviated handle and copper Gudebrod weaving go together very nicely into a rod that just gives off a very pleasant vibe.
