N-Butyric
N-Butyric acid is a very intense attractant resulting from fermentation processes. It is an organic compound with a very pungent smell. Many anglers are already intimately familiar with the odour of fermented corn, which we can now tell you is completely owed to N-Butyric acid, the key factor why fermented corn was doing wonders for your carp fishing. N-Butyric acid is a key component of very successful flavors, with Scopex being by far the best known among them. It is also found in another exceptional ingredient - Belachan, which is made from fermented shrimp. Usually N-Butyric is omnipresent in boilies. Because of its very strong scent and high sollubility it is immediately picked up by carp. Traditionally it's been seen as a cold water additive, but we would advise you not to be limited by this. It's just as efficient in warm waters! Can be used in both solluble and boiled boilies as it survives the boiling process. The optimal dose depends on the nature of the base mix. Many anglers prefer smaller doses, but we've gone as high as up as 1-2ml per kilogram of base mix, and we do recommend the latter. Our Select Baits team relies heavily on this product particularly in the BIO-KRILL + N-Butyric & Indian Spice boilies range.
